Testing or examining, what is the difference between the two terms? Is there actually a difference?
Yes, there is indeed a difference between testing and examining. In examining, we speak of a formal form of testing. There is often a certificate or diploma attached to an exam. This need not be the case with a test. This is because you can always take an (interim) test, to which no final (final) judgment is attached.
