What is online proctoring?

Online proctoring literally means online surveillance. In other words, (digital) supervision of a test or examination. With this method, every candidate can take the examination in their own familiar environment. For example, at home or at their workplace. The supervisor, also known as a proctor, monitors the examination remotely. This can be done live (in real time) or afterwards (by reviewing the recording).
