Optimum Assessment is proud to announce that it has won the European tender “construction and administration software” for the Centraal Bureau Rijvaardigheidsbewijzen (CBR) theory exams. After a highly competitive tendering process, both parties signed this partnership on Thursday 2 March 2023.

Theory exams

The CBR is nationwide responsible for assessing the driving and medical fitness of drivers and the professional competence of professionals in the transport and logistics sector. From mid-2024, the theory exams underlying this will be conducted using the Optimum Assessment Platform. As a partner in digital testing, Optimum Assessment also contributes to the realisation of reliable and valid tests, efficient administration and an optimal testing process. Quality, safety and innovation are the key concepts here.

Partnership

Talking about the cooperation between the two parties, Martin van den Berge says: “This collaboration is a great step forward for both organisations.” Jan Jurgen Huizing comments: “In the coming years, CBR will transform itself from executor to public service provider, putting the customer at the centre of the design of services and processes. Convenience, clarity and empathy are central to this. To make this ambition a reality, high demands are also placed on the partners to which CBR commits itself.”

Martin: “We are proud that our test software will now become part of the national CBR examination system. Both social importance and scale make this an extra challenging task for us. We are convinced that this cooperation will make a positive contribution to CBR's future testing.”.

Implementation

Now that the contract has been signed, implementation can start. “We understand the responsibility and trust placed in us by CBR. Optimum Assessment is committed to delivering the best possible results,” van den Berge said. Both Martin and Jan Jurgen thank all team members and others involved who put in a lot of work throughout the tender process and contributed to this success. “Full of enthusiasm, we are starting this project together and look forward to achieving all the intended goals in close cooperation with each other.”
