Citrus Andriessen, under which brand Optimum Assessment operates in the Netherlands, wins the European tender for the supply of examination software for the civic integration exams of DUO, the Netherlands Education Executive Agency. This is the third time in a row that Citrus Andriessen has won the tender for this extensive and complex issue. The civic integration exams are of great social importance and require a safe and user-friendly approach. DUO and Citrus Andriessen will gladly take up this challenge together again in the coming years.
On behalf of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment (SZW), DUO carries out work in the context of civic integration. In this context, DUO’s Civic Integration Service Centre organises and conducts the civic integration exams for newcomers in the Netherlands. These exams are held at the various DUO test locations, which are located not only in the Netherlands, but also in 88 other countries.
Citrus Andriessen’s software makes it possible to create, take and assess the examinations. “We have been supplying exam software to DUO for a long time and this is important to us. It is large in size and complex. We supply exam software for all kinds of sectors, from the hospitality industry to estate agents, but the civic integration exam is the examination with the greatest social importance and the greatest impact on the candidates,” says Martin van den Berge, Managing Director of Citrus Andriessen/Optimum Assessment.
And then the moment of signing arrives, albeit via WebEx. On 24 November, Harmen Harmsma, director of DUO and Martin van den Berge placed their signature to ensure that DUO will continue to be able to use excellent exam software in the coming years.
